This year the New Glasgow Community Corporation did not collect donations at the meet your neighbour night as is our usual practice.
So…. here we are now asking for your financial support to help cover ongoing costs of approximately $2000 per year for things like:
- insurance,
- electricity for streetlights,
- maintenance of boardwalks and parks (e.g. grass cutting)
The flower bed areas have received some extra work this year and more shrubs and plantings are planned for next spring/summer. We have also gotten some new benches, picnic tables and signs for the two community park area. The banners that hang on the streetlights will be replaced as well. More reasons the financial support we receive is so important.
