WHAT: New Glasgow Fire Department Volunteer Appreciation Night
WHEN: Saturday, April 25th from 7:30 to 9 pm
WHERE: Central Queens United Church, Hunter River

The event is being organized by a grateful local group of citizens who would like to see our community firefighters receive the thanks and recognition they deserve. It is also being supported by the Hunter River Community Council, Harmony House Theatre, Hunter River Lion’s Club and others.
The purpose of the event is to show appreciation and thanks for the approximately 30 New Glasgow firefighters who volunteer their time to keep our families and friends safe every day. We are also asking the public to submit their stories of thanks, help and heroism involving the fire department.
Food prep volunteers will also be needed for a few hours before the event and local businesses or groups are being asked to donate to help with food costs.
We would also like to hear from people who are planning to attend or help out in any way in order to plan for food amounts and to ensure adequate space is available.
