New Glasgow WI Meet Your Neighbour Night

It’s that time of year again, when the air is getting crisp and you have more time to catch up with friends after a busy summer. And a great way to do that is by coming to The New Glasgow Women’s Institute Annual Meet your Neighbour Night! All New Glasgow and surrounding community residents as well as local business owners are welcome to attend.

It is being held on Saturday October 20th at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. Beginning at 6pm bring your favorite family dish for a community potluck supper. Following supper there will be games for all ages as well as their famous cake auction so don’t forget to bring you wallet!

The Community of New Glasgow Corp. will also have a table set up prior to supper for people to stop by and chat with members of the board. In recent discussion, the board has been trying to come up with a way to better utilize the park across from the church. It is not visible from the road and gets very little use from the public. Would the shelters, picnic tables be better used somewhere else? Pop by and share your thoughts on what improvements can be made. As The New Glasgow Community Corp. works for the betterment of the community we still need funds to help cover ongoing costs of approximately $2000 per year. This pays for things such as insurance, electricity for streetlights, and maintenance of boardwalks and parks (e.g. grass cutting).
