This is a free, family-friendly event open to the public. This year there will be horse drawn sleigh rides, snowshoeing, maple-syrup tapping, forest plants and wildlife, woodland crafts, and much, much more! We will have a big heated tent with exhibitors and free hot cider. There will also be a walking trail with various activities along it – bring your whole family out for some winter fun and camaraderie!
The Winter Woodlot Tour is organized by the Wheatley River Improvement Group, the Hunter-Clyde Watershed Group, Central Queens Wildlife Federation, and the PEI Department of Communities, Land and Environment. A BIG thanks to the PEI Wildlife Conservation Fund for their financial support of the 2016 Winter Woodlot Tour as well as all those who have contributed to the success of this event both this year and in past years.
