Fingers crossed that this lovely weather lasts but a nice dusting of snow would be nice for our annual Tree Lighting and Candlelight walk. Organized by The New Glasgow Community Corporation,  this event is taking place on Sunday November 26th.

Everyone is asked to meet at The Gardens of Hope upper parking lot at 6:30pm, to group together and get candles lit. We will walk through the gardens by candleight singing some festive songs along the way, so don’t hesitate to join in. Please dress accordingly and bring a flashlight in case of windy weather.

Our Christmas Tree lighting will take place at 7pm at the park across from The Toy Factory. We are still trying to contact Santa to see if he might be able to spare a few minutes to drop in for a visit – tba. Chef Emily Wells of The Mill is graciously opening her doors for a place to warm up, mix and mingle and enjoy a few hot beverages and treats.

This is a free event, but we are accepting donations that go towards the upkeep of our community and are greatly appreciated. As our corporation works for the betterment of the community we ask for financial support to help cover ongoing costs of approximately $2000 per year such as insurance, electricity for streetlights, and maintenance of boardwalks and parks (e.g. grass cutting) – while also working towards new initiatives. You may donate online via our website.
